I have filled up yet another external hard drive and I am getting ready to clean off of my laptop of all old sessions. I am going to be achiving all of the sessions from 2005-2010 and filing them away in a safe place off site.

If you had a session or sessions in 05, 06, 07, 08, 09 or 2010 I am offering you a chance to purchase the proofs from your session on DVD before they get archived. The price for your session on dvd will be 100.00. This will include the proofs from your session, but not the cards or composites. You will recieve a print release along with your DVD so that you can print them anywhere you choose. If you had mulitple sessions, then the price will be 100.00 for the first session, and 60.00 for each additional sessions.

This offer is only good for portrait sessions, and not weddings. This offer is also only valid if you made a portrait order from your session. If you did not make an initial order, then you won't be eligible to purchase the DVD. This offer is only good for a limited time! Good until September 1st 2011. So let me know before then!

I am a little behind!

Right before the new year (as in the afternoon of December 31st!) I bought a brand new, super fast, super expensive laptop. I had previously bought refurbished laptops, and have had nothing but trouble with them, so this time I went with new, and then I also bought the 2 year warranty.

About three months into the new year, the screen started 'scrolling' like an old TV. It would happen about once a day for a few seconds at a time. Then it started happening 4-5 times a day, and then one day in May it died. so so sad.

I took it back to Best Buy and explained to the 'Geeks' that it was important that I get it fixed ASAP because it is my main work computer. And that I needed to take it on vacation with me so that I could work on vacation. I took it in May 22. I got it back June 3rd. Right away I saw that it wasn't working properly, but we were leaving on vacation June 5th, so I had to take it as it was.

About halfway through vacation, it quit working again. So frustrating. I took it back to Best Buy the day we got home (June 19th). They still have it! I am crossing my fingers that it comes in tomorrow.

In the meantime, I am using a 5 year old desktop, which might not seem old to you, but for a computer it is ancient! It is really slow, and takes me twice as long to do things as it normally does on my laptop.

So, I am sorry that I am a little behind in my editing. I hope to get the other computer back soon and then I will get caught up!! I hope!!

Fractured foot.....=(

Yesterday while shooting an engagement session I slipped in my shoes and fell and now I have a slight fracture in my foot.....and my laptop died, and I have a bad cold....and a wedding tomorrow.

So, if you are waiting for proofs, you will have to wait a little longer....sorry! I will be on my feet most of the day tomorrow, but I hope to elevate it and rest on Sunday. Then I will get back to work on Monday.

It is no secret that I absolutely *love* newborn babies! I especially love sleepy ones! Baby Luke was a week old, and very, very sleepy!
His parents waited for him for a long time, but as you can see he was worth the wait! He is just perfect!

Today is my Daddy's birthday.....

It is hard to believe that two birthday's have passed since my dad died. Today he would have been 79 years old. To some of you that sound old....but my daddy didn't act old! When we were at the hospital with him, one of his Dr's called him 'elderly'....I was thinking "Who is elderly?? Not my dad!"

My grandma always took a photo of my dad on his birthday with his cake. I think that they were always taken outside because the camera didn't have a flash. See? Grandma was an original 'Natural light photographer'!

This is the first one that I have....it says "Daniel Wayne Gault 2 years old" on the back. See the little candles? so cute! His dad seems to be trying to keep the snow or rain off of him.Here is the second one that I found. It says Daniel Wayne March 18, 1935" So he would have been 4 here. I love the little leggings/stockings! Plus he is making a face that makes it seem like the cake is so heavy!
This one isn't a birthday, it is Christmas, but I love it so I am putting it here too.....I love that the tree is outside too! And look at his cute little plaid coat! I love it!
And this has nothing to do with his birthday, but I freakin' love the look on my oldest sisters face!! She still makes that face!! (love ya Mary!)
Ruth is being held by my dad, and I am the cute baby being held by my mom.Well, I miss my dad every day. I have dreams about him too.

I am a little behind in my work because Saturday night I had an awful toothache! I didn't sleep much, and on Sunday it hurt worse! I took lots of pain meds, and barely slept again, and then first thing Monday morning I called the Dentist. She got me in pretty quickly and found the problem. I had a cavity in my wisdom tooth.
Since it was just a wisdom tooth, we decided to pull it out~yikes! I haven't had a tooth pulled in 30 years!
I have been doing a lot of medicating and sleeping the past two days, and even today it is still sore. I hope to get caught up by Monday. Thanks for being patient!

Little man I, through the years!

Well, through two years anyway! Little I is turning 2! Here is a look back at some of the shoots he has had with us at All Occasion Photography!
This was at his 6 month old session. Love the hat!

He wasn't feeling the greatest during his one year session, but we got some smiles! He was a busy boy!

At 18 months, he was happy and loving the trike!
Now he is two! Such a big boy! Look how much his hair has grown!

I love having two year olds put their hands in their pockets! Some will do it, some won't, some crack up laughing while trying!

I used to be a nanny many many years ago and this little guy looks so much like the little guy that I was in charge of....Brian. He was the sweetest most loving little guy! I will scan a photo of him tomorrow so you can see the resemblance!

ok, I couldn't find too many photos of Elizabeth and Brian, but here is one that I think looks like the little guy above. Especially the 5th photo above....Do you see it?

Framed Wall Prints Example

The mama of these three told me that they are looking for a few portraits of the children in their jerseys for the wall in their OSU themed basement. I edited a few to show what they would look like with a custom mat and frame.

Three adorable siblings!

These three came in last week during one of the many snow days that we had! The roads had cleared by noon so they ventured over!
The first time they came to my studio the twins were only two! Now they are four and have grown so much!

Mr Maddox came to me for newborn photos and he was such a good baby! He was a chunk and he slept through everything! Now he is 6 months old and still chubby! I was excited to try the truck shot again to show how much he has grown!

Looking for a few models!

A few photographers are having a meeting of the minds at my studio, and the studio down the road from me. They are coming from all over! OH, MI, PA, MO, WV and IN!
I am teaching a class on Saturday January 23th, and possibly one on Sunday January 24th. (if we can find a newborn!)

For the Saturday class this is what I am looking for:
A 6-8 month old that can sit well and can't crawl. This will be for a few shots with clothes of your choice (I might make a few suggestions), and a few nekkid shots. The studio will be warm. This shoot would be at 10:00am and last about 45 minutes. This will be a complimentary session and you will receive 5-10 images from the session on a disc with a reprint release. You will also be able to order prints at a discounted rate.A well behaved, not shy toddler/preschooler. This can be a boy or a girl, with siblings or without. Clothing suggestions will be made. This shoot will be at 10:45am and last between 30-45 minutes. This will be a complimentary session and you will receive 5-10 images on a disc with a reprint release. You will also be able to order prints at a discounted rate.

We are also looking for a Bride (alone) or a Bride and Groom couple for a class on Saturday after lunch (about 1:00). Location to be announced (it will be in Millersburg, but not sure which church). If you are getting married or just got married, this is a perfect way to get some nice shots of you in your dress. This will take place at a church and there will be a class about posing you and there will be about 20 photographers shooting you....with their cameras!! For your time and trouble you will receive a disc of about 5-10 images from each photographer. You will receive a print release for these images.
For Sunday we are looking for:
A newborn that is less than 10 days old. Yes, I realize that means that he/she hasn't been born yet! But if you or someone you know is due around January 14-20 please contact me! The newer they are the better they sleep, and the better the session will go!
This will be for a class on how to pose and light and photograph a newborn. I will be teaching and shooting. And other photographers will be shooting as well. This will be a long session and will go from about 9:30-11:30am on Sunday January 24th.
With your complimentary session you will also receive 25 of my beautifully designed announcements (4x8 size). You will also be able to order prints at a discounted rate.

If you would like to be considered for one of these sessions, please send me your name, the names and ages of the children, and a short description of the children. If you are interested in being a bridal model, send your name, and a photo please.

Look-alikes!

I met Baby G when he came for his newborn session in May 2008. His sister Baby A was born just before Christmas and I was so surprised at how much they looked alike!

I want to thank all of my wonderful customers for making 2009 a great year!
In case you haven't heard we had a big change here this year! In September we had our old barn torn down and we built a new studio! We moved in the first of December and we are loving it! It is so spacious! We have two shooting areas, a sitting area, a storage room, an office, a bathroom and a HD projector for watching TV, DVD's, and we can even play the Wii on it! It has gotten lots of use this winter!

Well, sometimes I have to make exceptions! I met Ariel when she was 4 and we moved into the house behind her house. Her daddy needed some one to watch her in the mornings before she would go to pre-school, and since he left for work at 6am, he wondered if I could do it.
Every morning her daddy would carry her over and put her on our couch and cover her up and she would go back to sleep for a few hours. I then would get her up and give her breakfast and get her on the bus.
The next year she went to Kindergarten and she still needed a place to stay, so I continued to keep her. She slept on our couch until she was in the 6th grade!
Ariel is also on the soccer team with our Olivia and she gave her many rides back and forth to practices and games. So we owe her a lot!

I am a little behind, but

About 6 weeks ago, just before he turned 18 months old, this little guy was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. It is so very terrible. I talked to his mama on Friday night and she said that he only had days left to live. Immediately after I got off of the phone I knew that I had to do something for this family. I took Trinnen's newborn and his 6 month photos, so I got busy designing two books with the photos from both of those sessions. I worked on them all night (literally...I was up until 5am...). It took me about 10 hours to get them both finished and sent to print. I then contacted my print lab and asked them to rush the printing so that I could have it for them ASAP.
As many of you know, Trinnen passed away yesterday afternoon surrounded by his family.
Cancer is a terrible disease, and this is an awful situation. Please pray for this young family during this difficult time.

Baby J is a big boy now!

I first met Mr Jackson when he was in his mama's belly!

Then I got to see him a few weeks later when he was born....He was a good sleeper!
Then he came at 4 months! So smiley!

Now he is a big boy! He is two, and he did a great job!
When he first got here he wasn't too sure about sitting for photos, so we played with some farm animals, and took photos of the horses, and cows and a ball or two....then he saw that it was fun and he sat so nicely!

What a handsome little guy!

First, this was Miss R at one year old, with cake all over her face! I love her tongue sticking out!And now she is a big girl! Miss R just turned three! Doesn't she have the best smiley eyes?

Now for the biggest sister, Miss A. She is gorgeous! And the camera loved her!

Now you don't even want to know how had I had to work for this group shot! If the little one was looking and smiling, then the middle one was looking elsewhere....if the middle one was looking and smiling, then the little one was being a goof! I did get to nice group shots, and this is one that I love!

*This will be held at the Kids Collection in Walnut Creek.
*I am taking appointments on Friday October 2nd, 10:00am - 7:00pm, and Saturday October 3rd, 10:00am-5:00pm.
*They will be scheduled on the half hours.
*If you are late for your appointment, it will cut into your time. Please be a few minutes early for your session as a courtesy to others. You can shop while you wait!
*We will start with the most important photo grouping, and then if there is time I will shoot individual shots of each child.
*The 40.00 fee is due at the time of the sitting. Cash or Checks only, please.
* I will have a few Christmas-y props available: Ornaments, sleds, Santa hats, etc.
*No outfit changes
*There will be three backdrop choices.....White, and Brown marble, and black. You may only choose one for the whole session.
*7-10 days after your session, you will have a private online gallery with 8-10 proofs, and 5 Christmas cards to choose from.
*The 20 cards that come with your package must all be the same card

The Barn is Down!

Last Saturday we had a crew come in and tear down our barn! We are getting ready to build a Photography Studio and I am so excited! I grew out of my little upstairs studio a couple of years ago! But good things come to those who wait, and we have waited and saved money to make my dreams come true!

Today is my in-laws, Ward and Judy Stutzman's 50th wedding anniversay! Here is the front of their invitation to their party, and one of their wedding photos on the front.This is after approximately 12 years of marriage! They were fruitful and multiplied! I can't believe how much our son looks like Kurt in this photo! This is right around the 25 year mark!

I have been terribly busy with life (three teenagers on three different sports teams!) and have been a bad blogger.
Here is some of the customers that I have had the privilege of shooting this past week!
This is Mr J. He is such a cutie! Time goes by so fast! I can't believe that he is already three!! It seems like I was just shooting his 6 month portraits! Click here to see his two year old session.

I don't do Seniors! I am much more comfortable with the 10 and under crowd! But for family, I make exceptions....This is our niece Kendra. I can't believe that she is a Senior! I remember when she was born, and she was just a baby at our wedding. She has grown into such a pretty girl, and we are proud of her!
It started sprinkling during our outside shoot, so we stole her mom's umbrella for a few fun shots. I love this one!

These guys came all the way from Texas just to get their photos taken here!! (oh, ok.....I confess, they came to see their Grandma and Grandpa!) This is E and D last summer.....Now here they are now! How cute are they?? Mr D is gorgeous with the best hair!! He just turned 3.

This is Mr E. He is so photogenic, and I adore his smiley eyes! They both took directions like champs! And while I was taking photos of their mama, they went down and raided the cupboard! (It's OK, I told them too!)

This is A&E! They were so much fun! I just love twins!
Mr E is the social one of the two, and he was very happy and ready to have his picture taken!

Mr A was a little more reserved. It took a little bit for him to warm up to me, but he was very happy too! Two newborns in one day!

First came Baby J. He was one week old, and was more interested in nursing than he was in modeling! I got a few awake shots and then he fell asleep for a bit.

With newborns, patience is the key!

Next I had a new baby girl. She was born while we were on vacation, so she is two weeks old. Miss M was very alert!
But only for a while!

I have got to say that she has the most perfect belly ever! It is stretch mark and blemish free! And it is so nice and round!

A beautiful bride and a handsome groom!

This day started out dark, dreary and rainy! I ran into the salon in the pouring rain, and the bride was bright and radiant! She wasn't worried about the rain, and we all prayed that the sun would shine.

Shannon and Eric, you look so beautiful!

As you can see, the rain left, the sky cleared up and we ended up with a nice, sunny day!
This was a huge window in the church by the steps.

I tried this shot before and I didn't get it.....I am glad it worked this time!

I usually do a shot like this on a hill, but there was not a hill to be found! I was laying on my belly flat on the gound to get this shot.
Since it was raining when I left the house, I grabbed a couple of umbrellas. I just had to use this one!Can't you just feel the love?? =)Gorgeous cake!

And although they weren't as cute as the happy couple, these two were soooooo adorable! I hope you have enjoyed your sneak peek!

Vacation 2009

We are having a house sitter, so if you have an emergency, just call my home phone.

If you are having a baby and you are wanting newborn photos, send me an email right away and I will get with you on dates that I have open. I am keeping the first week in August open for newborns. I will be checking my email and my facebook page every day or two!

If you are waiting for proofs, I am getting a few sessions done before I leave, and I will do the others in the evenings at the hotel. I am *crossing my fingers* that our hotel has WiFi!

I have also hired an editor to help me get caught up on weddings.

I first saw Mr Z for his 1st birthday shoot. He was a busy boy, but I got a few cute shots! I love this one!

Then the next year he came to see me for his 2nd birthday shoot. He looked so much older!

Vacation!

This is baby Q! He came for his first session when he was about 6 weeks old. My SIL made me this cute hat!

The next time he came, he was about 3 months old. He was just starting to smile, but I only caught a few slight ones.

I then saw him when he came with his brother and sister for Christmas photos! That was a tough session!!

Now Baby Q is ONE! I can't believe it! I knew that they had 6 week old kitties at their house, so I asked his mom if she would mind bringing them along for the shoot! How cute are these kitties??
and here is Q! He did not want to sit still, until we got out the fish bowl! He loved the water!

Lauren is Sweet Sixteen!

My sweet, first born child is 16 today! I can't believe it! Last year I posted about her birth. You can read it here.
So this year I thought that I would show you some photos of Lauren on past birthdays!
This is when she was one. My mom and I took her to Sears on her first birthday. Of course I had to buy her a red, white, and blue outfit for the shoot! She barely had any hair, so that hat covered that up!

Here she is at Two! She still had never had a hair cut! I wondered if it was ever going to grow! Just after this photo was taken, she tripped and fell on a hanger and slammed her face into the corner where two walls meet. She had a terrible bruise and when it healed she had a dimple!

Here is her Three year old photo. She was always very photogenic!

The year she was 4, we were broke! So I waited until fall and took the kid's pictures myself! You can really see her 'man-made' dimple in this one!

The summer that she turned 5, her and Olivia were asked to be flower girls. So I had their portraits made in their flower girl dresses. So pretty!

Since my children all have summer birthdays, we held them all out of school until they turned 6. This is a decision that I have never regretted. They are all bright students, and good leaders. This is her Kindergarten picture. It is one of my all time favorites! Two weeks before picture day we went to the beach, so she was nice and tan!

Now she is driving, and dating, and working for me with my business. She is a straight A student, and we are very VERY proud of her!
I need to get her in the studio for a recent photo, but until then, here is a recent photo of her from a wedding. She was standing for me so I could practice the shot before I went to get the B&G.

I first met Mr J when he was about a week old. He was adorable then, and he is even cuter now! He will be three years old in just a few days!

Now he has a brother! Baby C is one year old, and he was less than thrilled to be here! Pretty much this is the look he gave me all night! I tried everything I could to get a smile out of him!! It looks like he is thinking "Seriously? You think that a duster is funny? An animal on your head? Really?"

I am excited to shoot Andrew & Angie's wedding this fall! They came for an engagement shoot last week. An engagement shoot is a great way for me to meet the Bride and Groom and get to know them before the big day.

I also can design a "Save the Date" postcard for you with an image from your session. Save the date cards are becoming more popular with today's brides and grooms.
They were looking for a formal photo for the newspaper, as well as a few fun shots!

My nephew got married!

Last week we traveled to KY (south-western KY....so you know I love my nephew!) for my oldest sister's (yeah, I called you old, Mary!) only son's wedding.
We drove 4 hours to my sister's house on Thursday, then another 4½ hours down to Princeton, KY on Friday. We went to the rehearsal and checked out the beautiful church on Friday night and then had a lovely rehearsal dinner.
Saturday morning we enjoyed a lovely bridal breakfast and then off to the church to get some photos of the lovely bride getting ready for the big day!

My sister Mary and I are 10 years apart in age, so her kids were my first niece and nephew. To say I spoiled them would be an understatement! I loved them so much, and when I went to college in Cincinnati, I saw them as much as I could! Some say that Michael looks more like me than my own kids do!
